Whiplash

Whiplash

Whiplash, also called neck sprain or strain, affects approximately 120,000 people a year in the US. It is generally caused when a person is involved in a rear-end vehicle collision. Whiplash occurs when the neck and head are thrown forward, then back, when the collision occurs. Although many do not experience them right away, symptoms such as neck stiffness, headache, and dizziness often form over the course of the following days.
