Several years ago, after experiencing debiliating vertigo (dizziness) for many months, along with pain and tenderness at base of my skull around my brain stem, I began to suspect that my neck muscles were weak. I bought this Tempur-Pedic Swedish Neck Pillow and the next morning was the first in about 6 months that I experienced no dizziness. I experimented with varying thickness and found the lower height was best, sleeping on the lower end of the regular height pillow. I've tried other memory foam pillows and they are not helpful; they tend to be too high and do not contour as fully to my neck.
