Relax The Back® Nashville is about educating and solving problems. We have spent many hours training our staff so that they can, in turn, educate you on how best to solve your back, neck, or shoulder needs. You have a unique perspective on your discomfort. How did it begin, what have you done already to resolve the issue etc. We are here to guide you to the best solution, which may or may not be the most expensive product. We want the issue solved and to stay solved.

That is what we here in Nashville are best at. We have been successful at this since 1995. Our staff has been certified as Ergonomic Assessment Specialists. This provides us with the background to guide you through our store and to answer many of your questions, particularly questions about setting up a home office pain free.

GO SEE APRIL FOR YOUR NEXT MATTRESS!!!!‎‎ My girlfriend and I just upgraded to a Tempurpedic Rhapsody bed/mattress yesterday, and we went and saw April down at Relax The Back in Green Hills. Now let me start off by saying, I have owned three Tempurpedic mattresses including my last, which was also a Rhapsody king before I moved to Nashville from San Diego, so i was already completely sold on the product. What made the difference for us, was how truly professional and personable April is. No question went unanswered, and she is as friendly and genuine as it can get in the sales world. It IS her store after all, and it is clear to us why she's been in business so long, (I believe she said over 13 years) -it's because she sells with honesty and isn't even the least bit pushy. She really knows her product line. Making a major important purchase such as a mattress has never been this easy. I've got sciatica in addition to some lower back pain that I've had on and off. So I went to the Relax the Back store in hopes of finding something that would ease the discomfort. I was so surprised to find a wide assortment of things - in many different price ranges - that really helped. I ended up purchasing a cushion that I can use in the chairs (or in my car) to relieve the pressure on my lower back. But they also had so many other things that would really help people who have more chronic back pain problems. Their staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, steering me away from a higher priced item in favor of something that was actually more likely to help me.

The first time I used the Real Ease, I was really skeptical. I am the owner and it just looked like a piece of plastic. Well, I was desperate one day with a migraine headache that had lasted 3 days. So I tried it, on the floor, in the corner of the store. Within 15 minutes my headache was cut in half and that allowed medicine to finish it. Since then, when I get a headache I go straight to the Real Ease and have a treatment right away. 9 times out of 10, my headache is gone! And I can get on with my day. Discuss the diagnosis or symptoms

We talk to the patient about his / her diagnosis or specific back or neck pain symptoms. Our staff consultants are not clinicians, but are trained in basic spinal health and anatomy issues. When a patient says she has fibromyalgia, for instance, our employees understand what that means and how to match that person with products that address specific needs. We have products to help with the most common spinal health issues including ankylosing spondilitis, arthritis, degenerative disc disease, fibromyalgia, herniated discs, multiple sclerosis, nerve pressure/ pinched nerves, osteoporosis, pregnancy related back pain, sciatica, spinal cord injury, spinal stenosis, spondylosis, spondylolisthesis, sprains and strains and whiplash.

Discuss lifestyle issues
The spinal support needs of a person who spends each day at a computer are very different from someone who stands at an assembly line. We are trained to find spinal support products that are appropriate for each person’s workplace or lifestyle. We do not diagnose or offer medical treatment. Each Relax The Back employee goes through a basic training program when hired, followed by a more comprehensive spinal health training program on a variety of medical conditions, tests, and treatments. Only after successfully completing this training does the employee earn the title of “Spinal Health Product Consultant.”

Customized Fit
Most Relax The Back products are available in many sizes or with multiple adjustments. For example, cervical pillows are custom-fitted based on the person’s body type and sleep position. Office chairs have up to 11 adjustments for precise spinal alignment and positioning. Zero Gravity recliners can move into infinite positions for comfort, enhanced circulation, and pressure relief.

Effective spinal support products — not gadgets

Products go through a rigorous evaluation process before being approved for our stores. Relax The Back products must meet stringent ergonomic standards, and represent quality, comfort and durability.

Product selection – Not all products are appropriate for all patients. Clients are encouraged to seek advice from their health care providers if there is a concern about the effect of any product on their medical conditions.

Insurance
Relax The Back is a retail store, not a medical equipment company, and products may or may not be covered by third party payors. However, we are happy to provide documentation to assist patients with possible insurance reimbursement or as a medical expense for tax purposes. The products may also be purchased via most Flexible Spending or Medical Savings Accounts.

Confidentiality
Patients have the option of giving Relax The Back their name and address information for future mailings and special offers. These names are not shared with any other entity. Any communication with your office regarding referred patients will be handled confidentially.
