After 9 years of comfort all five seat springs broke in two weeks & you cannot sit in the chair. I called the store in Califonia & ordered the springs in March. They will be shipped from Asia & arrive sometime in July. Think about that - four months just for the springs. Don't even think about buying the extended warranty.........................

Bought this chair from RTB in West Houston in 2011. It all started well, but after recouperating from two surgeries, I began to feel a steel bar across the middle of my back. Very disapointing to say the least. I feel abused. It seems that the traditional perfect chair uses a taught canvas in the back for support so that it always stays smooth and consistent. The irony is that the chair I bought which appeard to have more padding, actually has terrible support. I am 6'1" and 205lbs. The chair now hurts my back.

I have had mine for two and a half years with no issues. I have always kept it covered, because human sweat and leather don't mix well over the long haul. I have sat in it all day sometimes and it is still as comfortable as the day that I bought it. I guarantee that when fully reclined you will be asleep in minutes.

Purchased following shoulder surgery and mechanics worked well for that. Problems: Bonded "leather" doesn't hold up. Feels and reacts more like cheap vinyl.) Head pillow deteriorated after 2 years. Called cust. svc. 1-800-355-2762 (The Human Touch in Long Beach, CA manufacturer) and they will send a new pillow in Feb. 2013 as they are on back order. Seat "leather" also wearing out, as well as the foot area. Poor quality.

Well, unlike the others, I have only had my chair a short period of time, but I look forward each night getting home from work, and relaxing in my chair. It is wonderful! I have a lot of back problems and this has helped tremendously. Hope I have better luck with the armrests and upholstery.
