Good chair but pricey Review by Brandon G.

I've had mine since November or so of 2009. Bought it to work with a computer monitor suspended on an articulating arm over the chair to help with back pain. Works great for the intended purpose. I'n May of 2013 the brake cable failed and that will have to be replaced. Looking for parts has proved a difficulty. Reading a few of the reviews here, I suppose I should consider myself lucky the brake cable lasted as long as it did. Very functional, but pricey for what you get. I'll look at other brands when this chair needs replacing, but I may buy another.

Excellent, Bought Mine in 2002 Review by Mike

I bought a Perfect Chair in 2002 because of neck and shoulder stiffness that occurred during a computer conversion (using the mouse on Excel instead of keystrokes on Lotus DOS). Then, the computer mouse left me initially stiff. An egronomic specialist recommended this chair when he also examined my workstation. I've had no problems with the leather or manual operated mechanism. I will buy another at some point. Only problem is foot rest which is poorly designed for a tall (over 6'2" person). I bought a high-end leather cleaning kit from the company which was a good idea. Everyone should have one.

Perfect For Broken Leg Recovery Review by Fantastic 24/7 Recovery Recliner
Value
Quality

Recovering from a broken leg means keeping your leg above your heart for 6 - 8 weeks. Living on the couch with pillows to elevate my leg was sheer misery. Now that I have my Zero Gravity Recliner with power recline I am able to sleep normally, transfer easily to and from my wheelchair, and be comfortable laying on my back 24/7!!! In fact I was so relaxed that the first two nights I had "an accident":):), never thought I would be proud to say that. I am so glad I decided to invest in this fantastic recliner, it is really a must if you need.to keep your legs above your heart for any reason.

Great Chair, bad customer service Review by Jack

We own two recliners and one executive office chair. All were great until one of the recliners wood support split. We called and the answer was, sorry we can't help you, but please buy another. Then the executive chair broke with the only function left working is the lever to stop the tilting of the chair. The chair pops up when you get out of it and fall to the bottom when you sit on it. Not bad for at $2000+ home office chair.

Wonderfully comfortable Review by Chuck

I set up an RV on a river resort and began looking for a chair that would give me all the comfort and flexibility I needed. I, like so many others, have an arthritic spine and neck fusion. I originally purchased a matched set of Lazy Boy chairs, but they didn't sit right so I sold them. Then I found this chair, tried one out, then bought two. My brother and I spend many hours at the RV fishing or just relaxing, and this chair rates top marks for both my brother and me. We both have bad backs and look forward to going to the RV and watching football or just relaxing. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is price and weight. It is heavy and doesn't move around easily....and the price is a bit on the high side....but for sheer comfort and ability to get it into any position from upright to zero gravity, it's unbeatable. I didn't see the need for the extra money for the motorized one...but if you dont' have much arm strength, you might find it difficult to go from zero gravity to uprite. I would suggest you try one out before buying the manual vs. the motorized one to make sure you can handle the transition. They obviously produced a motorized one for a reason...namely the complaints about not being able to get into an upright position from zero gravity...not a big deal for me, but I have good upper body strength...it's the back and neck that are the problem.

Best Investment Ever!!! Review by BGW

If you experience any back problems at all, this is the chair that can bring you relief from pain and total relaxation! BUT, for lumbar pain, there is no other relief thateven touches it! This is my second zero gravity chair.........the first was bought in 1996, and is going to a good home. Can't recommend this chair enough....it is amazing!

Bought both my chairs at the Relax the Back store in west Fort Worth, TX.......high marks for customer service from sales, thru delivery, and on thru the years. Wonderful folks own this store...great to do business with.

excellent product Review by Shari

Once I figured out that it was easier to position the chair BEFORE I slid into it, I was without any stress on my back. I'm 5'4" and sometimes weak, perhaps the reason why it was difficult to easily 'launch' the chair into a comfortable position. At 75 yrs. young, we learn to take shortcuts!

Not for children....so be selfish.

I'd suggest taking your time, sitting in the chair to select which 'size' best fits your personal strength. Great for sleeping also....p.s. an original zero gravity recliner lasted 25+ years and now has a second happy owner! This one with the leather and special foam is superior, but heavier to move about.

Post fusion surgery companion Review by Popowiecki

I picked up a pc-6 model with the premium leather about 4weeks after my lumbar spinal fusion. It truly does take the pressure off my spine. I can lay in it pain free and I think it is helping through the recovery process.

It is the perfect chair for me. Only issue is the price.

Not Good for Tall People Review by Tom
Quality
Value

Love the style but hate the construction. I bought this with the retractable foot rest hoping it would work for me. Unfortunately the seat depth is too short for anyone over 6' tall so it becomes very uncomfortable after about 10 minutes when reclined half way down. If they made a tall version with an additional 3-4 inches of depth in the seat it would be fine.

Quality is questionable. The reclining mechanism (lock/release) broke after about a year. Apparently a common occurrence. Fortunately it was repairable but I'm not looking forward to replacing it every 1-2 years. Also, when reclined part way the "brake" is now slipping regularly.
