Eli Beardsly - Purchased Lifeform® Management Grand Office Chair
I have several bulging disks and I only sit down two places. My recliner at home and my Lifeform Office Chair. The Lifeform chair is without a doubt the best office/task chair on the market. It is sufficiently adjustable that you can relieve pressure just about anywhere. And the adjustments are easy enough to use that you can move the chair during the day so that your back doesn't "take a set" The only drawback is that I have trouble falling asleep at night because of my back and the Lifeform's so comfortable that I sometimes nod off in it.

I thought it was a good deal and quality product even at $800.00+, but I'm finding otherwise. The mechanism that holds the backrest in position has worn out. It's less than 3 years old and not abused in any way. Cheaply made I'm thinking. Trying to find parts through LifeForm is impossible. Their website is pretty useless. Will try Relax The Back Customer Service and see what kind of warranty the chair has.

I am very chagrinned and have to take back what I wrote about the Life Form website and company. I was actually able to contact the company using their website/toll free number and they were actually extremely helpful. There is a 7 year warrany on my life form chair and they are sending out replacement parts to take care of the problem. Thanks.

The chair is wonderfully comfortable and, much to my amazement, I have not had any leg or back pain since I purchased it. However, every week the screws from the armrests pop out and I have to lift and turn the chair over--and it is heavy -- to put the screws back into the armrests. I went back to the store owner and she said there should be washers (which there were not), helping to secure the screws and hold the armrests in place. She offered to come to my home to reinstall the armrests, but I opted to take the washers and do it myself. If the screws pop out again, I'll take her up on her offer. In light of the fact that the majority of the people who buy these chairs have back pain, having to lift and turn the chair over every week to reinstall the armrests is not advisable. Hopefully the washers will do the trick; otherwise, I suggest the manufacturer redesign the installation of the armrests. All told, the chair is great, but the armrests are not.

This chair would be great if the seat pan and seat back were not misaligned and hence not properly supporting my back(instead aggravating) as the Shukkra Lumbar support is meant to do. I am in process of having my doctor set up an appointment with appropriate ergonomic specialist to document this so I can notify the company. Since purchasing this Chair several years ago I have had this problem verified by Relax the back and/or Lifeform a number of times. Once the chair replaced and a number of times received replacement back. However, this has never solved this problem. At this point I hope to eventually be able exchange this model for a different model that won't provide me this trouble.
