Great Chair for low back pain! Review by Dave
-
This is a great chair for my low back pain! As I recline I can feel the pressure easy away. Going on 4th year with this wonderful chair!
What made me write this review was to respond to some other reviews:
Leather needs to be cleaned ... so if your leather is disintegrating it's probably because you never cleaned and conditioned it with leather cleaner/conditioner every 4 months. Oils will naturally break down leather.
Last thing I want to say is that this chair doesn't have springs in the seat so I'm not sure what chair John Henery Has...

I'd buy another.......... Review by Paul

I'm a long-time Perfect Chair customer.....had one of the first generation and finally, after a couple of decades, gave it away and bought this one...only because replacement parts became unavailable. Paddle activators became obsolete. I am in and out of mine many times a day, and have had no issues with the motor drive, headrest, nothing. Fantastic product......my local retailer has been stellar. Buy one.....you can't get better comfort in a recliner.

good chair, bad covers Review by jim

The chair itself is great, but the "leather" covering is terrible, after a year it disintegrated, leaving some cloth backing. it appears to be "nogohide" or other fake leather covering, very thin glued to a cloth backing.

EXCELLENT Review by Kathy

If you're looking for back pain relief, this chair is awesome!
I've had mine for three years.
I just hope this model is not retired, if and when it has to be replaced.

Saved me Review by Tam
-
I used this chair to sleep in and live in while recovering from hip replacement surgery for two months. It was the perfect place to get comfortable, large enough to move around and snuggle down (I'm a big lady) and allowed me so many different positions. It was my command central where I watched t.v., worked on the computer, read my books, and visited with my friends. I couldn't have made it without it.

A life saver for those w/back issues Review by LKWells
-
For people, like myself, with lower back issues this recliner is worth the price. It takes compression off the lower vertebra and allows me to sit for longer periods of time than I would otherwise be able to do, in a conventional recliner. Adjusting the angle of recline in very fine increments, every 15 minutes or so, keeps me free of pain. It is rather pricey, but if you have pain issues with sitting, this is the chair for you.

Chair quality Review by Paul
-
I purchased this chair in early 2009. For the most part is has performed without any problems. However, since then the neck pillow leather has worn away. You would think that for the price, over $2000 this would not happen. I have owned a leather couchfor over 20 years and have had no excessive wear were the leather has pealed off or worn away. One other problem of late is the motor for raising and lowering is now difficult to operate. It takes a few more pulls on the lever to move it up and down. This makes me wonder wheater or not to purchase another one or just get on without the mechanicl movement. If it was not for these problems I would have recommended it. I really can't say that without reservations.

The best chair i have ever owned Review by amy
-
I agree, real leather would enhance the value of the chair. However, the comfort and wear-ability cannot be surpassed in my estimation. I have loved this chair since i first sat on it in the showroom over four years ago. It does not show any wear and i use it daily, often sleeping in it more than my own bed!
I didn't like how the head rest felt and changed it out immediately, making my own version. I am buying another chair of the same model for my other house. I am finding the newer models seem to have softer head supports and the control is easier to use for short armed people like me.
It only gets better in my opinion.

Very disapointed Review by Rickie
-
I have owned the PC85 for 2 years and have been very disapointed in the fake leather material. It scratches very easily and there is nothing you can use like shoe polish to touch it up. Also I thought the chair would be good for long time setting like hours in the chair but to my supprise it is not. I would not buy another one.

not much Review by John Henry

This is my third chair, The springs that you set on will not last. They keep braking. I will go to another model. I like this chair and would buy others but after three chairs with broken seat springs, no more, I will not buy another one of these.
P. S. No, I do not weigh 500 lbs. I weigh 180 lbs.

Leather falling apart Review by John
-
The leather at the end of the foot rest is wearing off the chair after only a year. Human Touch refuses to address this under their "warranty" because they consider it to be cosmetic. Considering what the chair cost us, their attitude is way off base. I'll never buy another Human Touch product. Otherwise I really like Relax the Back.

Expensive and comfortable, should be real leather though. Review by Mark
-
I think the chairs are comfortable and stylish. The fake leather is disappointing, especially when it was not explained. There is also a design flaw with the velcro on the head rest, as it scrapes the brown off the pleather.

Recliner review Review by Army
-
I have owned this chair for two years. It's the best I've ever had. The comfort and the many positions I can get is a big plus. I sometimes have fallen to sleep in the fully reclined position. I would recommend this recliner to anyone looking for comfort and wanting to get the best relief from any back pain or get some good rest.

The best recliner I've ever sat in Review by Jeremy
-
My wife and I visited a Relax the Back store in Baton Rouge, LA and sat in one these. It was so comfortable that we bought a matching pair for the living room five months later. We've had them for two and a half years now and have had no problems. I still get that wonderfully relaxing feeling everytime I fully recline it.
